Combine the mask with a serum and apply to hair after colouring or bleaching. You can also apply the Protective mask alone before toning.

Hair structure - functions
The cuticle, or outer part of the hair, is covered with a small layer of natural oil, called sebum, which together with the cuticle forms a shield to protect the hair's interior, or cortex and core. This is very important because of the important functions the inner layer of the hair performs, including giving the hair colour and shape.

Natural factors
Hair is exposed to various external factors on a daily basis - including the sun, salt, which accelerate the ageing of hair, causing it to lose its elasticity and shine. Furthermore, hair loses moisture and becomes dry and brittle.

Chemical agents
In addition to natural damage, hair is damaged by various treatments such as colouring, bleaching and straightening. These have a bad effect on both the external and internal structures of the hair. When it comes to chemical straightening treatments, many of them effectively break down the disulphide bonds present in the hair (which give it its shape). This in turn reduces keratin levels and deprives the hair of nutrients, causing further damage.
